Ofcom has announced another four small-scale DAB licences

Second batch of small-scale DAB licences awarded

Ofcom has confirmed the next four small-scale DAB radio licences to be awarded covering Cambridge, Inverclyde, Sheffield & Rotherham and Winchester.

Small-scale DAB is an innovative technology which provides a low-cost way for local commercial, community and specialist music services to take to the digital airwaves.

The multiplex licences have been awarded for the following areas:

Ofcom has committed to issuing further licences for the remaining 16 areas that were advertised in the first round over the coming weeks and licences in the North West of England and North East Wales will be advertised on 1 June 2021.
